Southwest Airlines: A Bold New Interior
When Southwest Airlines was planning to unveil their newly designed “Heart” cabin interior at Houston Hobby Airport’s Media Day, they wanted to do so in a completely captivating way. The vision was to create a custom, immersive experience that would transport a group of media guests from the show floor directly to the cabin of a Southwest aircraft. So, to bring that vision to life, we worked alongside the talented team at Rockfish Digital to create a fully interactive Gear VR experience that showcased Southwest’s bold new look.
On the day of the event, users wore Samsung Gear VR headsets and were able to virtually tour the cabin interior to get an up close look at the airline’s spacious new seats. Afterward, Southwest uploaded the experience as a 360 Video to their YouTube and Facebook accounts, where it received nearly 1 million impressions from their fans and followers in less than a week.
