SubVRsive Welcomes Irina Shames and Ian Villamin to the Team!
Since the announcement of our Series A funding earlier this year, we’ve been working hard to build out our team with the best talent in the industry, and in just a few short months our company has nearly doubled in size. Today, we are thrilled to introduce two of SubVRsive’s newest additions: Irina Shames and Ian Villamin.
Irina Shames, VP of Business Development
With extensive experience in branded entertainment sales, Irina is joining SubVRsive to lead our business development efforts and build relationships across our rapidly expanding client base. Most recently, Irina was Head of Sales for North America at CNN International, and prior to that, VP of Business Development and Strategy at MTV World, Viacom.
A true citizen of the world, Irina originally hails from Uzbekistan, is a German citizen, and has lived in NYC for the past five years. She will be our first NYC-based team member and is looking forward to bringing SubVRsive’s services to new clients and partners.
Ian Villamin, VP of Interactive Development
A thirteen-year veteran of the video game industry, Ian is joining SubVRsive to lead our quickly-growing Interactive VR team as they work to create innovative VR, AR, and MR applications. With deep experience in the gaming world as an engineer, producer, and designer, Ian’s resume contains some of the industry’s biggest names, including The Sims, Call of Duty, and Doom.
Ian grew up right here in Austin and studied Computer Science at the University of Texas. Since starting at SubVRsive, he has seen his life come full circle; in an incredible stroke of coincidence, his new desk sits squarely in his mother’s old office from his childhood.
Irina and Ian are both welcome additions to the SubVRsive team and will play key roles as SubVRsive continues to create impactful Virtual Reality experiences.
