Introducing Our New CEO (and Other Exciting News from the Halls of SubVRsive!)

It was an amazing 2018 here at Subvrsive. We announced Lens.io, a cutting-edge new Web AR platform. We worked alongside Google, Apple Music, and KLRU to create a 360° music documentary series featuring Ed Sheeran, Run the Jewels, and Zac Brown Band. We partnered with global brands like Google, Amazon, and The Wonderful Company to create some – if we may be so bold - kickass emerging tech solutions. And we hired world-class engineers, designers, and artists – nearly doubling the size of our team – to make it all happen.

Now, with the holidays over and a brand-new year upon us, we are incredibly excited to announce some big changes to our team. First and foremost, we have appointed Anthony Burke as our new Chief Executive Officer. He’ll begin his new role and assume day-to-day leadership of Subvrsive immediately. And Johannes Larcher, our beloved former CEO, will continue to serve as a shareholder and special advisor to our leadership team.

Before we get too into the details, though, a quick word from Johannes:

“I’m extremely proud of what we’ve built over the last two and a half years at Subvrsive. We’ve done some incredible work on behalf of our world-class clients and have earned a strong reputation as a great partner for brands looking to drive ROI through emerging tech. I’m delighted to pass the torch to an executive of Anthony’s caliber, and I look forward to seeing what this next chapter of growth holds for Subvrsive."

Anthony, who prior to joining our team served as Executive Director of Global Delivery Operations at Spiceworks, brings more than two decades of experience in the digital space, as well as a long and successful track record in agency and immersive tech services. Prior to Spiceworks, Anthony served as Vice President of Global Client Services at digital agency Wunderman, as Vice President of Operations at Valtech, and as Director of Operations and Production at VML (now VMLY&R).

In other exciting news, our co-founder and Chief Creative Officer, Austin Mace, will transition to Chief Operating Officer and our Director of Finance, Gezim Drenova, will serve in a new capacity as Chief Financial Officer. And, as we head into the new year, we’ll continue to bolster our team with the best talent in the industry to keep up with the growing demand we’ve seen for the types of interactive experiences we can’t help but create.

Our company had a whirlwind of a year in 2018, and we’re poised for even bigger and better things in the year to come. It goes without saying that we’re thrilled to welcome Anthony to our team and know that his talent, experience, and leadership make him the perfect person to take our company to the next level.

Cheers to the new year! We’re just getting started.
